Inputs and options

--kind <KIND>

Required for a card quote: humanization or ugc-video (the other kinds are capacity priced by their supplier). Ignored when --offer is given, because the offer carries its own kind.

--words <N> / --input <FILE>

Quantity for a rewrite: a word count, or a file whose words are counted.

--videos <N>

Quantity for a shoot; required for a ugc-video card quote.

--offer <OFFER_ID> and --units <N>

Price from a supplier’s listed rate instead of the card; --units is required with --offer. The kind, the unit price, and the currency come from the offer.

--turnaround-minutes <N>

Required for a card quote; 5 to 10080. The band it falls in sets the urgency multiplier.

--currency <CODE>

Required three-letter code for a card quote; no currency is assumed.

--output <FILE>

Optional destination for the quote JSON; otherwise stdout.

Output and state effect

Result

Read-only. A card quote prices work we price centrally: 90 cents per hundred words for a rewrite, 15000 cents per video for a shoot, floored at 300 cents and multiplied by the deadline band — 2.0 under an hour, 1.5 to four hours, 1.2 to a day, 1.0 to three days, 0.85 beyond. An offer quote prices capacity the supplier owns — a GPU hour, a gigabyte, a device hour — at the rate they listed, and a deadline does not change it. In both cases the platform fee is 15 percent of the total and comes out of it, so worker_cents is what the supplier receives when the order is accepted.

Serialization

Successful output is pretty-printed JSON carrying the kind, the unit, the source (rate_card or offer), every input to the arithmetic, and the three money fields.

Refusals

  • A card quote for compute, residential-egress, or phone-sharing refuses with <kind> is capacity priced by its supplier: quote it with --offer.
  • A rewrite quote with neither --words nor --input refuses with a rewrite quote needs --words or --input; a card quote without --turnaround-minutes refuses with a card quote needs --turnaround-minutes.
  • Words outside 1 to 20000, videos outside 1 to 100, turnaround outside 5 to 10080 minutes, a non-positive unit count, or a currency that is not three letters is refused by its exact bound.
  • An unknown offer id is refused by the ledger.
