`market payment-intent`

Start money-in for a buyer. Nothing is credited yet.

Exact invocation

handtohuman market payment-intent <ACCOUNT_ID> --amount-cents <N> --currency <CODE> --purpose <TEXT>

Inputs and options

<ACCOUNT_ID>

The buyer whose balance will be credited when this settles.

--amount-cents

Positive amount in cents.

--currency

Required three-letter code the amount is in.

--purpose

Required: what the deposit is for, as the ledger records it.

Output and state effect

Result

Records a pending intent and credits nothing. This is the seam a payment provider plugs into: the ledger can hold what a buyer means to pay before anything has moved.

Serialization

Prints the intent as pretty-printed JSON.

Refusals

A non-positive amount, a bad currency, an empty purpose, or an unknown account is refused by name.
