Public command

market payment-settle

Credit a balance because an external payment actually settled.

Exact invocation
handtohuman market payment-charge <INTENT_ID> --customer <CUS_ID> [--payment-method <PM_ID>]
01

Inputs and options

<INTENT_ID>

Required. A pending payment intent; its amount, currency and purpose are what get charged.

--customer

Required. The provider’s customer id holding the saved card.

--payment-method

Which saved card. Omit when the customer has exactly one; with several the command refuses and lists them.

02

Output and state effect

Result

The provider’s PaymentIntent id, its status and the amount charged. A balance is credited only when the status is succeeded, against that id as the ledger’s unique provider reference. Any other status — requires_action for a card whose issuer demands authentication, processing — is reported with credited: false and nothing written.

Serialization

Prints the settled intent.

Refusals

  • Refuses an intent that is not pending.
  • Refuses a customer with no saved card, naming the page command instead.
  • Refuses a customer with several cards, listing each so one can be named.
  • Repeats the issuer’s own decline verbatim — measured on the live account: 402 card_error [card_declined] Your card was declined — and names the hosted page, which does not depend on an off-session mandate.
