`market account-edit`

Change an account's display name or role; an account is never deleted.

Exact invocation

handtohuman market account-edit <ID> [--role <customer|worker|both>] [--name <NAME>]

Inputs and options

<ID>

Required account id.

--role

The account's new role.

--name

The account's new display name.

Output and state effect

Result

Replaces exactly the named fields and prints the account as account-show does. Balances, earnings, ratings, offers and orders are untouched. An account has no delete: the ledger's history names it.

Serialization

Successful output is pretty-printed JSON. Commands with --output <FILE> write it there instead of stdout; marketplace leaves always print to stdout.

Refusals

Neither option given: account-edit changes nothing; name --role or --name.
An unknown id: account not found: <ID>.
A role that cannot sell while the account has active offers: account <ID> still sells through active offer(s) <ids>; withdraw them first (offer-withdraw).
An empty --name is refused as a missing display name.
